Top 40 supplier Gemline (asi/56070) has launched two new web-based tools that aim to facilitate creating kits of branded products and getting speedy, accurate pricing estimates.

The Lawrence, MA-headquartered company announced the release of Kit Creator and Pricing Estimator this week, saying the offerings came in response to distributor requests and that the tools will enhance the buying and selling experience.

“At Gemline, we pride ourselves on being listeners first when it comes to our distributor partners and providing the solutions they need to succeed,” said Frank Carpenito, president and CEO. “The introduction of Kit Creator enhances Gemline’s robust kitting and fulfillment capabilities by putting more control in our customers’ hands, while Pricing Estimator makes it easier for our customers to easily estimate pricing and charges. Both of these new tools reinforce Gemline’s position as an industry leader.”

Kit Creator allows users to build custom kits online and share the creations with customers, internal teams and/or a Gemline sales representative. Through what Gemline described as a few steps, distributors can create kits that automatically calculate prices as items are added, removed or decorated.

“This versatile tool even allows users to include add-ons like greeting cards and packaging, as well as indicate if they plan to add customer-supplied (non-Gemline) items to their kits,” the supplier said.

According to Gemline, registered users will see real-time customer-specific pricing, have the ability to save kit packages for future reference, and be able to submit their custom creation to a Gemline sales pro for review with just one click. “Even guest users can take advantage of this innovative tool by submitting their custom kits for review after completing a simple form,” the supplier noted.

As its name indicates, the Pricing Estimator enables distributors to calculate pricing in real time without having to call or email Gemline. The Estimator, which appears on every product page on Gemline’s website, automatically calculates pricing in real time as distributors adjust quantities and decoration options, according to the firm.

“With just a click of a button, both guest and registered users can submit their product and decoration selections,” the company said.

Based on reported 2022 North American promotional product revenue of $151 million, Gemline ranked 12^th on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry.
