Q-Tees Switches to Solar, Adds Recycled Tote Bag

The company says it switched all of its facilities to 100% solar power in August.

Q-Tees is taking steps toward sustainability.

The manufacturer of totes, towels and aprons with headquarters in Stone Mountain, GA, noted that as of August, all of its facilities run on 100% solar-powered energy. Q-Tees also introduced a new product: the sustainable recycled bag (S800), a reusable heavy canvas tote made of 100% recycled textile waste.

“We’ve always valued reusable tote bags as a more earth-friendly alternative to one-time-use bags, but this is our chance to move further toward a sustainable future,” said Shawn Teli, marketing director. “We know there’s still so much that can be done, and we’re excited to start this next chapter.”

The recycled tote bag is available in dark gray, navy blue and steel gray, but Q-Tees says it expects to expand color options soon. The bag features matching self handles and reinforced stress points.

Q-Tees began in 1988 as a seller of affordable T-shirts before shifting focus to manufacturing and importing other soft goods, including aprons, towels and tote bags. According to its website, the family-owned company sells to the promotional products industry through several suppliers, including Kati Sportcap (asi/64140), S&S Activewear (asi/84358), Atlantic Coast Cotton (asi/37355) and Sportsman Cap & Bag (asi/88877).
