MV Sport/The Game Operational Again After Cyberattack
The supplier says “all is well” now after sustaining a breach that disabled its phone and computer systems.
MV Sport/The Game (asi/68318) says it’s up and running again following a crippling cyberattack.
In mid-September, the Bay Shore, NY-based promo products supplier sustained a cyberbreach that temporarily disabled its computer and phone systems. Issues persisted into October.
Still, MV Sport/The Game has reported that it’s now operational again. “All is well,” a company representative told ASI Media on Nov. 10.

Further details were not shared. MV Sport/The Game, which are sister brands, had contracted with a cybersecurity firm for help working through the problems.
Cyberattacks have proliferated in recent years. The promo products market has not been immune, with entities that range from Top 40 suppliers to mom-and-pop shops getting hacked.
In one of that latest high-profile industry breaches, Essent revealed earlier this week that it has been the victim of an “encryption attack” that’s disrupted its network and communication systems. Essent is a business management platform that promo distributors and suppliers use.
