The executive was most recently the CEO of Cutter & Buck Canada and has extensive experience in corporate and retail apparel.
Top 40 supplier Stormtech (asi/89864; Canada, 89869) has a new member in its C-suite.
The company announced this week that Shane Brett is the new chief operating officer, effective June 12. Most recently, Brett was CEO of Cutter & Buck Canada (asi/47967), a division of Top 40 supplier Cutter & Buck (asi/47965) that he founded in 2012.
In his new role, Brett will spearhead Stormtech’s global expansion strategy, which includes new distribution centers in Dallas, Amsterdam and Toronto, and will lead the sales and marketing teams. He’ll operate out of the company’s Toronto and Vancouver, BC, locations.
“We’ve had a lot of success over the past several years, but we truly feel like we’re just getting started,” said Blake Annable, CEO of Stormtech. “Shane’s broad skillset, proven track record of success and deep understanding of this industry make him the ideal candidate to lead Stormtech into its next chapter.”
Brett has more than two decades of experience in corporate and retail apparel, including time spent at GolfBC as director of retail operations and at Caulfeild Apparel as senior vice president of operations before establishing Cutter & Buck Canada.
“Stormtech is a company I’ve admired for a long time,” Brett said. “The people-first culture aligns with my own values, as does the commitment to sustainability and innovative apparel. I’m truly grateful to Blake Annable and the Stormtech family for this opportunity. The level of trust, support and personal warmth they’ve shown me has been incredible.”
With 2021 North American promotional products revenue of $49.4 million, Stormtech ranked 30th on Counselor’s list of the largest suppliers in the industry. The new list is due out this summer.
