Facilisgroup Launches Initiative to Support Female Leadership
EmPOWER Her consists of monthly virtual events and an associated Facebook community. An annual in-person event is also being planned.
Facilisgroup (asi/475998) is carving out a space for women in the promotional products industry. In February, the St. Louis-based software-as-a-service company and partnering community for the promo industry launched the emPOWER Her initiative, to support female leadership.
The program centers on monthly virtual events, where female leaders can share, collaborate and discuss thought-provoking topics. There’s also a Facebook community for members to continue the conversation socially, beyond the monthly gatherings. An annual in-person emPOWER Her event is also being planned.
“The goal of our emPOWER Her initiative is for female leaders to meet each other on new levels, gain insights and develop support channels to help navigate the ever-changing business climate we’re all working in,” said Ashley McCune, president of Facilisgroup. “It’s the recognition that each of these leaders are the right person for the job, and they all happen to be women.”
The launch of the new initiative coincides with Women’s History Month, and Facilisgroup says it’s more relevant than ever. In North America, 29% of senior leadership are women. Facilisgroup has nearly double that percentage, with women making up 56% of its senior leadership team.
“Leaders need support, and the women of the emPOWER Her initiative can be that support for each other,” McCune added.
The company also operates a location in Ottawa.
