Ottawa, ON-based PowerStick.com (asi/51566) has its first director of corporate relations.

The Canadian supplier of technology products has appointed Tina Berres Filipski to the new role. She was previously the director of publications and editor for Irving, TX-based Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) for more than 25 years. Filipski will lead initiatives to enhance PowerStick.com’s visibility across the promo industry by issuing press releases and leveraging long-term industry relationships.

“With new sales targets set for the next 10 years, we need to increase our visibility and I’m thrilled that Tina has agreed to join PowerStick as our first director of corporate relations,” says CEO Nigel Harris. “I’ve worked with Tina over the years on a number of PPAI projects and have always been impressed by her knowledge and professionalism. She will be a tremendous asset to this organization.”

The company began more than 10 years ago when Harris debuted the original PowerStick Classic charger which went on to win Best of Show at CES. The company has since expanded its lineup of tech accessories, and was also named a Best Place to Work on Counselor’s 2022 list.

Filipski will work for PowerStick from her office in Texas. “I became familiar with PowerStick during my years at PPAI and was always impressed with how Nigel operated the company and the positive and productive environment he created, as well as the high-quality tech products the company manufactures,” says Filipski. “It’s an incredible opportunity to use my writing and relationship skills from a fresh perspective to help PowerStick achieve even greater levels of success.”
