The move further expands the Top 40 firm’s presence in North America.
Top 40 distributor BDA (asi/137616) has announced that it has opened three sales offices in Calgary, Toronto and Waterloo, ON. These are BDA’s first offices in Canada since the company opened its fulfillment and distribution center in Windsor, ON, in 2010.
“These new offices represent the continuation of our international expansion strategy to help our clients deliver on their global brand promise,” said Jay Deutsch, CEO and co-founder of BDA. “Our global enterprise clients can now tap into our Canadian team’s powerful mix of industry experience and product knowledge to maximize their merchandising campaign goals.”
Ian McLearon has been named general manager of BDA Canada. Previously, McLearon managed the Toronto, Waterloo and Quebec locations and the U.S. and Canada Enterprise Accounts Division for BrandAlliance Canada, which recently declared bankruptcy.
“For years, BDA has been recognized as one of the significant innovators of our industry, and I’m so excited to finally be a part of this team,” said McLearon, in a statement. “I can’t wait to bring incredible promotional product solutions to our amazing Canadian clients. By leveraging the creative horsepower of BDA, we are going to combine personalized local service with the capability of our world-class merchandise agency.”
BDA operates more than 70 offices around the world, including in China, France, the Philippines and the United Kingdom.
