Mark Waisbrod Assumes CEO Role at St Regis
Most recently, Waisbrod was the company’s chief operating officer for 12 years.
St Regis Group (asi/84592; Canada, 84595) has a new chief executive.
Mark Waisbrod has been promoted to CEO. Formerly the company’s chief operating officer since 2011, he has nearly 30 years of executive experience.
Richard Firkser, founder and previously the CEO of the company, is now president.
In his time as COO, Waisbrod oversaw several major acquisitions – including Clearmount (asi/45440) and the journal division of The Book Company (asi/41010) – and led technical and infrastructure changes that have made operations more streamlined, according to the company.
“Mark is a proven leader with the ability to bring people together,” said Firkser. “His vision, business acumen and wealth of experience are exactly what St Regis needs as we enter the next chapter of expansion, innovation and growth. We are fortunate to have someone of Mark’s caliber and track record to implement our strategy, take advantage of market opportunities and lead St Regis into the future.”
Waisbrod will assume his new role on Wednesday, July 19.
“I’m honored to be given the mandate to lead this exceptional group,” said Waisbrod. “St Regis is where it is today due to the incredible efforts of all its team members. The growth opportunities ahead are vast; to seize them, we must move fast, embrace innovation and continue to transform in order to bring our distributor partners the best value, quality products and unmatched service.”
In recent months, the company announced brand partnerships with Cacharel and TUMI, and also published its first ESG report.
