Atlantis Headwear Partners With Rowing Team To Promote Sustainability
The supplier designed caps that the Enginoars used while traveling across the Atlantic Ocean.
Atlantis Headwear (asi/37380) is using its sustainably made caps for a good cause.
The supplier partnered with The Enginoars, a rowing team composed of four engineers, to raise awareness about global responsibility. Atlantis designed two caps that the rowing team wore during the Atlantic Challenge, a grueling 3,000-mile row that requires participants to endure almost 40 days of constant rowing.
The Enginoars participated in this challenge to support and raise funds for Engineers Without Borders, a nonprofit that promotes sustainable engineering projects and education. Through the collaboration, Atlantis Headwear aims to amplify its message and inspire organizations to move toward a green future.
“We are thrilled to partner with The Enginoars on this incredible journey and contribute to their cause,” said Atlantis Headwear Vice President Federico Pasini. “At Atlantis Headwear, we believe that sustainable fashion can be a catalyst for positive change, and this partnership with the Enginoars allows us to spread that message to a wide audience.”
With breathable performance fabric made of recycled fiber and a stretchable sweatband, the Sand cap kept sweat off the Enginoars’ brows and protected against long days of sun exposure. For windy days and chilly nights, the team opted for the Holly, an 8.5” beanie made of recycled polyester fiber to ensure warmth and durability.
“We had a great experience partnering with Atlantis Headwear,” Enginoars teammate Rufus Mitchell-Heggs said. “Their sustainably produced headwear was exactly what we were looking for to help us represent The Enginoars and Engineers Without Borders brands. Not only did this contribute to our ability to grow our brand, but it also enabled our supporters to become part of the team and join our charitable cause.”
The Enginoars started their journey on Dec. 12, 2022, and successfully reached their destination of Antigua’s English Harbor almost 37 days later.
