Outdoor Cap (asi/75420) is taking steps to accelerate its digital transformation.
The Bentonville, AR-based headwear supplier has hired Jermaine Oldham as head of technology, tasking him with providing executive technology leadership and enabling growth for its retail, team sports and promotional products business.
“We are thrilled to have Jermaine join the team,” said Jeanelle Harris, CEO of Outdoor Cap. “His leadership and experience in the IT space will strengthen our team and accelerate growth on multiple fronts. I am confident, as we focus on employee and customer experience, Jermaine’s presence will help drive us toward being best-in-class.”
Oldham has more than 20 years of technology experience and has led teams at J.B. Hunt, Flexential (previously Peak 10) and Tempur Sealy. He’s also a veteran who served in various technology roles for the U.S. Air Force both domestically and abroad. Oldham has a master’s degree in information systems and an MBA in technology management.
Oldham said he’s excited to be a part of the Outdoor Cap team. “The chance to lead technology at one of the most respected private companies in our region was impossible to pass up and a great opportunity to help drive business growth,” he added. “I see many opportunities here and am thankful for the chance to leverage all my experience from other industries to build on the work the team has already put into their enterprise ERP, platforms and custom applications.”
Founded in 1977, Outdoor Cap has more than 400 employees and services more than 14,000 business customers across its various markets. Harris, who’s been with the company since 2019, took over as CEO earlier this year.
