Cap America Promotes Cory Cissell to VP of Marketing
Cissell has been with the Top 40 promo products supplier for a decade.
The C-Suite moves are continuing at Cap America (asi/43792).
The Top 40 promotional products supplier announced Tuesday, Jan. 4, that it has promoted Cory Cissell to vice president of marketing. Cissell, who joined Cap America in 2012, previously served in roles such as business development manager, national sales manager and director of marketing at the Fredericktown, MO-based firm.
As vice president of marketing, Cissell will oversee what Cap America described as a rapidly growing team that handles product development, graphic design and content creation. He will manage the promotion of brand awareness and implementation of effective marketing strategies, while working closely with the executive leadership team to help facilitate growth.
Cissell reports to Cap America CEO Mark Gammon.
“Cory has excelled in his role as the director of marketing over the past year,” said Gammon. “This promotion is well-deserved and in line with further developing the marketing department, as it is vital to the continuation of our growth as a company.”
Cap America noted that Cissell recently was named to the PPAMidwest board of directors. He was also previously a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
Cissell’s promotion continues a trend of executive moves at Cap America. In December, Gammon was promoted from president/chief operating officer to CEO. That move came quickly on the heels of the firm promoting Grace Schettler to vice president of sales.
Based on 2020 North American promo product revenue of $38.2 million, Cap America ranked 38th on Counselor’s most recent list of the 40 largest suppliers in the industry.
