Matthew Lamb Named CEO of Distributor Scarborough Specialties
Lamb joins the Texas-based firm from Facilisgroup, where he was most recently an executive vice president.
Texas-based promo products distributorship Scarborough Specialties (asi/319940) has named former Facilisgroup executive Matthew Lamb CEO.
Lamb took over the role in January, joining what Scarborough described as a new executive suite alongside Chief Financial Officer Holly Keating, Chief Revenue Officer Jason Lipetska and Chief Operating Officer Blake Malick. They serve under a board of directors consisting of Amanda and Stan Scarborough and Jill and Jay Jacobus.
“We are blessed to have Matthew in the CEO role here alongside our Scarborough team,” said Stan Scarborough. “Matthew’s proven leadership and experience will take us into the next phase of growth and innovation.”
Founded in 1992, Scarborough Specialties is a family-owned business with seven locations in Texas. The company works with thousands of clients across the United States in industries that include education, healthcare, transportation, food/beverage, construction and community-based organizations.
“The team and culture that I will be a part of is truly special,” Lamb said. “This opportunity is an honor and a blessing. We are all committed to innovating the way we do things to drive healthy growth, while centering around a purpose that extends beyond business. This is an organization that understands we can transform lives by leading with purpose and people.”
Lamb spent nearly 16 years at Facilisgroup, a software-as-a-service provider and partnering community for the promo products industry. He was most recently executive vice president of research and development, where he was integral to the development of Facilis360, among other achievements, executives said. Lamb’s other roles at Facilisgroup included vice president of partner development and director of partner development.
“Matthew Lamb has played a key strategic role here at Facilisgroup for so long, always helping other distributors grow and maximize their potential,” said Facilisgroup President Ashley McCune, a member of Counselor’s Power 50 list of promo’s most influential people. “What better opportunity than for Matthew to take that knowledge and experience and apply it to leading such a wonderful distributor. Matthew will always be a part of our Facilisgroup family, and we couldn’t be more supportive of him during this exciting transition.” Facilisgroup is evaluating what the best position will be to add following Lamb’s departure to ensure continued success but a decision hasn’t been made yet.
Lamb holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He’s a Scaling Up-certified executive coach and has trained with Culture Index, an executive advisory firm that helps business leaders leverage analytics. Lamb lives in St. Louis, MO with his wife of 15 years and their twin sons, who are 9.
