Alex Jovetic Joins Ecorite
The Toronto supplier of eco-conscious items brings on the promo veteran as vice president of sales and marketing.
Canadian promo industry veteran Alex Jovetic, formerly of Cotton Candy (asi/169186), Starline Industries (asi/89213) and PROMOGROUP, has joined Ecorite (asi/51654), a division of Canada Sportswear (asi/43682) in Toronto, as vice president of sales and marketing. Jovetic brings nearly 25 years of industry experience to the role.
“We are pleased to have Alex join and lead our sales and marketing efforts in North America,” said Howie Goldfinger, CEO of Ecorite. “His leadership, developed relationships, experience and reputation earned throughout his career will be a definite asset in helping propel the growth of Ecorite in the years ahead.”
Additionally, Jovetic spent almost 14 years as a volunteer for Promotional Products Professionals of Canada (PPPC), where he was also chairman of the board from 2019 to 2020.
“I’m thrilled to join an organization with a mission toward providing promotional products to the marketplace with a focus on eco-friendly and sustainable [items],” said Jovetic. “This we do with the singular purpose of demonstrating that what is good for the planet can also be spectacular for your brand.”
Ecorite is part of a growing movement in the promotional products industry toward more sustainable products and operations. Last week, New York City-based EcoPlum (asi/185835), which specializes in sourcing sustainable products for end-buyers, announced that it’s now a certified B Corp after attaining a high score in the areas of social responsibility, environmental practices, legal accountability and transparency on the official B Lab audit.
