Geraldine “Geri” Shippam, wife of Winnipeg, MB-based Shippam & Associates (asi/325850) owner Brian Shippam and mother of President Scott Shippam, passed away on January 30 after a long battle with cancer. She was 75.

She is survived by Brian, her husband of 54 years; son Scott (Nancy); daughter-in-law Roberta; and grandchildren Emily, Carter, Max and Sam.

“Geri always had a warm smile and kind word for members of her extended promo industry family,” says Fred Oesen, formerly of ASI Canada. “Her infectious laughter will be missed, and her generous hospitality, along with Brian’s, will be remembered by those who had the good fortune to visit at their home in Winnipeg.”

In accord with Geri’s wishes, a private family service and cremation have already taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring. The family thanks the staffs of Buhler Cancer Centre at Victoria Hospital and Grace Hospital for their compassion and care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Buhler Cancer Centre or the Grace Hospital Foundation.
