Obituary: Marsha Miller, AIA/LogoTools
A past president of the Gold Coast Promotional Products Association, Miller was known in the industry for her ready smile and volunteering spirit.
Marsha Miller, of Top 40 distributor AIA Corp. (asi/109480) franchisee LogoTools and a board member and past president of the Gold Coast Promotional Products Association (GCPPA), passed away Nov. 28 at the age of 68 after a two-year battle with cancer.
Friends and colleagues described Miller as “always smiling and willing to help” and “a woman wired for getting things done.”
The daughter of Harold and Muriel Simon, Miller was raised in Massapequa Park, NY, before moving to Sharon, MA, where she graduated from high school in 1972. She received a bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising from the University of Massachusetts.
She worked for six years at Citrix Systems as a manager of marketing services and a senior manager for worldwide corporate events. Miller also spent several decades with South Florida-based LogoTools, the AIA affiliate she founded with her husband of 48 years, Joe.
Miller was active in the promotional products industry, serving as board member and past president of the GCPPA. “Her volunteer hours were immeasurable, and her cheerful mood was infectious,” said Mark Farrar, executive director of GCPPA.
The association noted in a Facebook post that Miller was an “inspiration to all who knew her” and a “true industry icon.”
“Marsha’s warmth and kindness will be deeply missed, but her impact will endure in our hearts,” the GCPPA continued in its online statement.
In addition to her contribution to the promo industry, Miller enjoyed reading, shopping and spending time with family. She’s survived by her parents Harold and Muriel Simon, sisters Susan Steinberg and Laurie Warren, husband Joe, children Andrew (Megan) and Hali Miller, and granddaughter Madelyn Miller.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Miller’s charity of choice The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
