In the midst of the holiday hustle and bustle, those in need can go unnoticed. One promo company made sure that wouldn’t happen.

Top 40 distributor American Solutions for Business (ASB, asi/120075) recently raised more than $25,000, which was then used to purchase holiday gifts for local families through the company’s annual Adopt-A-Family fundraiser. The amount raised was more than double what it was last year.

With the gifts, ASB sponsored 16 families in Pope County, MN, including 36 children. Glenwood, where ASB is based, is the seat of Pope County; ASB CEO Larry Zavadil, a member of Counselor’s Power 50 list of the most influential people in the industry, and his wife, Diane, established the Adopt-A-Family program 20 years ago.

“I look forward to seeing the numbers every year,” Larry Zavadil says. “I’ve always known our American family was generous just by the good they do throughout the year, but I’m astonished once again.”

Last month, ASB also donated $1,500 worth of essential items to Someplace Safe of Pope County, which serves victims of domestic violence and crime.

With 2021 North American promo products sales of $244.3 million, ASB ranked eighth on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry. Last month, ASB reported that its 2022 sales will exceed $350 million.
