Edwards Garment Names Brian Deissroth Director of National Accounts
The promo pro’s previous experience includes being a regional sales manager at another Top 40 supplier.
A promo pro with sales experience at a Top 40 supplier is the new director of national accounts at Top 40 firm Edwards Garment (asi/51752).
The Kalamazoo, MI-headquartered uniform/apparel company has named Brian Deissroth to the key position. He takes over for Brett Garran, who was promoted to vice president of sales in October.
“We are excited to add Brian to our team. He is a proven expert in driving growth for the promotional industry,” said Jose Gomez, president/CEO of Edwards. “His drive for success will be a key part of our increased efforts to get more and more distributors to succeed with the support our products and services provide.”
Deissroth was most recently senior key accounts manager at apparel supplier Augusta Sportswear (asi/37461). Before that, he was a regional sales director at Top 40 supplier Vantage Apparel (asi/93390), covering the U.S. East Coast and Canada. Edwards executives asserted that Deissroth has a track record of helping distributors earn and execute complicated uniform programs from high-value end-clients.
Deissroth has won industry awards for his work, including being named to the Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York’s 40 under 40 in 2021. He currently serves in volunteer roles with the regional relations committee and government relations advisory council.
“Edwards is confident that Brian will continue the company’s successful trend of growth with national accounts as he takes over this position,” the company said in a statement.
It’s been a busy year for moves at the top at Edwards. Most notably, Gomez became president/CEO of the firm, replacing Gary Schultz, who has been easing into retirement as he continues to serve as chairman.
Based on reported North American promotional product revenue of $70.3 million, Edwards Garment ranked 20th on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry.
Privately held and family-owned since 1867, Edwards Garment provides uniform programs, including product, decoration and fulfillment services. Its apparel is used in industries that include assisted living, healthcare, private security, transit, food service, retail and casinos.
