Hit Promo Now Selling Sunburn Alert Body-Stickers
The brandable stickers alert wearers when it’s time to reapply sunblock.
Hit Promotional Products (asi/61125), one of the 10 largest suppliers in the ad specialty industry, is coming to market with a product that takes the mystery out of when to reapply sunscreen.
On Wednesday, the Largo, FL-based company announced that it will be providing Sunburn Alert Body-Stickers to the promo products market. Users put one of the circular stickers on their skin and apply sunblock to it as they spread or spray sunscreen on their body. The sticker starts out white, meaning there’s an adequate level of protection from ultraviolet rays. But as time goes on and the screen’s SPF fades, the sticker turns blue, indicating that it’s time to reapply. The stickers work in dry and wet conditions, in pools and in ocean water.
“We designed these new Sunburn Alert Body-Stickers so everyone can enjoy the outdoors in the sun. These are the next big thing in sunburn awareness and prevention,” said Andrew Levine, CEO of Baltimore, MD-based Sunburn Alert. “Everyone loves these body-stickers, as they make using sunscreen easy throughout the day.”
According to executives, the patented gentle adhesion, nontoxic stickers are exclusively available to the promo industry through Hit. The stickers can feature custom logos and can be packaged in a kitting pouch that features the end-buyer’s branding. “They are the perfect promotional product to sell to many markets, including hospitals and health care companies, universities, camps, recreational sports, golf events, concerts, festivals, sporting events, hotels and resorts, cruise lines, delivery companies, and any other outdoor activity,” Sunburn Alert said in a statement.
With reported 2018 North American promotional product revenue of $430.4 million, Hit Promotional Products is the sixth-largest supplier in the promo industry.
