Canadian Supplier Partners with Women Entrepreneur Advocacy Group
Redwood Classics Apparel (asi/81627) in Toronto and WEConnect International have announced a partnership to support female entrepreneurs across the globe. In a new charitable effort called #PayItForwardFriday, Redwood Classics will donate 10% of online sales profits each Friday from now to International Women’s Day on March 8, 2019, to support WEConnect International’s efforts.
“Each community initiative, each opportunity for advocacy, is a chance to have an impact,” said Kathy Cheng, president and founder of Redwood Classics Apparel, in a statement. “This partnership with WEConnect International allows us to pay it forward and dedicate our craft to other women globally. We are grateful for this partnership.”

WEConnect International empowers women entrepreneurs through education, registration and certification of companies outside the U.S. that are at least 51% owned and managed by one or more women. WEConnect also links these companies with a deep network of corporate buyers, giving them increased buying power and inclusive sourcing opportunities.
