AIM Smarter Hosts Inaugural Peer2Peer Event
AIM Smarter LLC, a promotional products distributor network, recently hosted its inaugural national forum for members and supplier partners. Called Peer2Peer and held at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia, the multi-tier event provided attendees with the opportunity to collaborate, network and gain inspiration.
“I am so thrilled we could bring our community together for what will be the first of many Peer2Peer events,” said Nichole Stella, CEO of AIM. “Paired with business strategists, thought leaders and a truly inspirational keynote, the Peer2Peer event was an overwhelming success. In the coming weeks, content from the event will be made available to the entire AIM community across the country.”
Top moments at Peer2Peer included a keynote from Jon Dorenbos, who overcame significant adversity in his life to become a professional football player, author, elite magician and star on the “America’s Got Talent” television show. Focused on resilience and teamwork, Dorenbos’ talk sought to inspire Peer2Peer attendees to embrace positive thinking and change.
Dorenbos’ keynote and the other elements of Peer2Peer won rave reviews from both AIM distributors and supplier partners that attended. “From top AIM suppliers sharing what is hot right now to Jon Dorenbos and his amazing story and magical show, it was a day to remember,” said John Curtin, owner of distributorship Main Line Sportswear & Promotions.
Donna LoPinto, owner of Print This! Inc., expressed similar sentiments. “The meeting was a terrific experience, bringing so many members from almost every corner of the map,” LoPinto said. “I truly enjoyed meeting such a wonderful cross section. The suppliers were equally awesome! Everyone displayed a positive and supportive attitude. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of collaboration and helpfulness.”
Suppliers had good things to say, too. Jim McCollough, vice president of sales for Top 40 supplier Edwards Garment (asi/51752), stated that Peer2Peer “was probably one of the best run days by a national group that I have ever been to. It was inspirational. The distributor members were high quality, and the suppliers had a lot of time to interact and engage. We made a lot of friendships.”
In January, AIM was acquired by Altitude Group Plc, a publicly-traded company that’s headquartered in the United Kingdom. AIM is headquartered in Philadelphia.
