Orbus Recycled More Than 80% of Waste in 2021
Total materials kept out of landfills weighed almost 870,000 pounds.
Orbus Exhibit & Display Group (asi/75209) is celebrating Earth Month and today’s Earth Day observance with eco-friendly news.
The signage and display supplier in Woodbridge, IL, announces that it recycled more than 80% of its total waste output in 2021, a 2.7% increase from 2020. Recycled materials include aluminum, plastic, fabric, steel, cardboard, cores and paper.
Overall in 2021, the company recycled 869,351 pounds of material and expects to surpass this amount by the end of 2022. For more than 10 years, the supplier has been committed to the ISO 14001 standards for environmental management and eco-conscious efforts in its operations.
“We’re proud of the recycling efforts and programs we have in place,” says Jim Concannon, the operations manager and ISO representative at Orbus. “They’re part of our core values, and we continue to ingrain them into our company culture.”
Orbus also has the G7 Master IDEAlliance certification, a qualification awarded to printing companies that achieve three levels of compliance pertaining to printing consistency. In addition, the firm is registered with both ISO 9001:2015 for high manufacturing quality standards and ISO 14001:2015 for its environmental management system and green initiatives.
