Strong influence scores from the industry helped propel Anderson four places up this year’s rankings. Since becoming CEO in 2019 (after the supplier firm he was chairman of, HandStands, was acquired by HPG), Anderson has been busy strengthening the company’s North America-wide network of supplier brand/facilities and overseeing the launch of new lines like Batch & Bodega and HPG Exclusive, which have ushered an influx of unique retail brands into promo and turned quite a number of heads. Agile and adaptable, Anderson has also overseen the successful rebrands of both HPG and the former Webb Company (now Mixie, asi/95838), which HPG acquired on Anderson’s watch in 2020.
