Barton’s smart, proactive maneuvering continues to pay dividends. By partnering early with suppliers who were able to bring in PPE at the onset of the pandemic, Barton was able to position the Top 40 distributor to estimated sales of $129.6 million in 2020 – just down about 5%. Barton (who got into the industry when a former business associate recruited her to help structure a customer service group for Safeguard) and her team are continuing to find creative ways to work and market virtually to remain top-of-mind with customers.
