Fiscal 2020 revenue was down 11% at Cimpress’ flagship business Vistaprint, while National Pen saw global sales erode 14% during the same period. COVID-19 was, of course, a big factor in the declines, but Cimpress was already bracing against headwinds pre-pandemic, which prompted Keane to reassume direct CEO control of Vistaprint in 2019 and to spearhead an overhaul of aspects of the business. Despite such speedbumps, Keane and Kelly have kept Vistaprint and National Pen as major players in promo products and printed marketing materials.
