Up two spots in the rankings, Bag Makers’ 26.8% sales increase was “primarily the result of the continued economic return for many industries to pre-pandemic levels,” says CFO Scott McFadden, “along with price increases due to higher labor/printing-related costs (inks, films, etc.), bag costs from domestic suppliers, and container rates for bags sourced offshore.” The Union-IL based firm was able to increase staff and ramp up quality control operations, and plans to add new products to its line and hire more employees, primarily in the production departments for 2023. The sales goal is to increase volume by 8%-10%.
