The West Nyack, NY firm, doing business as Star Print & Embroidery, has acquired eight brands in the decoration and promo industries.

Key Takeaways

• Front Nine Capital (asi/199525), doing business as Star Print & Embroidery, has acquired Rollins Apparel. The acquisition expands Front Nine’s portfolio and customer base, especially in education, nonprofit, sports and religious sectors.

• Rollins will retain its brand identity and customer service in Gainesville, while production shifts to Star Print & Embroidery’s facility.

Front Nine Capital (asi/199525), which does business as Star Print & Embroidery, announced that it has acquired Rollins Apparel, a Gainesville, FL-based provider of custom apparel and promotional products.

Rollins was founded in 2016 by Chad Rollins, and the family-owned company has since grown to include screen printing, embroidery and promotional products sales, catering especially to customers in the education, nonprofit and sports teams verticals. The company also has connections to customers from religious institutions nationwide through Rollins’ experience as a pastor.

“We are excited to join forces with Star Print & Embroidery,” Rollins said. “Their advanced production capabilities will elevate and diversify our product offerings while we continue to focus on the high-touch, personalized service we’ve come to be known for.”

“Rollins Apparel aligns perfectly with our portfolio, bridging strong local relationships with a new customer category that we are eager to continue to develop under our umbrella,” said Jeffrey Cooperman, owner of Front Nine Capital.

This is the latest in a string of acquisitions by Front Nine Capital, with the company using acquisitions as a major growth strategy. Most recently, the company purchased Premiums & Specialties this year. Since its founding in 2015, it has also acquired Mainly Monograms, Star Embroidery, Logo Wearhaus, On-Time Screen Printing and Embroidery, Wild West Shirt Company and Pentland Graphics.

“Introducing new customer verticals, like the Rollins client database, into our suite of businesses allows us to run extremely efficient and effective operations,” said Cooperman. “As we continue to scale and bring on new partnerships, we’re always looking to diversify business opportunities and streamline our production efforts without ever compromising our commitment to quality product and excellent service.”

Rollins Embroidery will continue to operate as its own entity within the Front Nine umbrella, though production will shift to the Star Print & Embroidery facility in West Nyack, NY, while the company’s sales and customer service will remain in Gainesville.
