Cintas Highlights Charitable Outreach in New Community Impact Report

The Counselor Top 40 distributor just released the annual findings that detail its do-gooding, which includes supporting everything from humanitarian efforts to cancer research.

More than 957,000.

That’s how many pounds of product Cintas (asi/162167) donated to Matthew 25: Ministries, an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief nonprofit, during the Counselor Top 40 distributor’s most recent fiscal year (June 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024).

The impressive tally was one highlight from Cintas’ just-published Fiscal Year 2024 Community Impact Report, which includes information and data about philanthropic initiatives that the firm supported through Cintas Cares – the company’s charitable outreach/community support platform.

“At Cintas, our philanthropic initiatives are at the heart of who we are,” said President/CEO Todd Schneider. “They reflect our dedication to making a positive impact in the communities we serve.”

Employees play a big role in the effort. For instance, over the course of a 20-plus year partnership, Matthew 25: Ministries employees have donated more than 4 million articles of clothing to the nonprofit. Since 1998, Cintas has given more than 29 million pounds of clothing overall to help power the organization’s humanitarian efforts.

The Do-Gooders Directory

ASI Media has an extensive – and continually updated – list of the giveback programs, corporate social responsibility initiatives and sustainability certifications that promo suppliers and distributors offer through their promo sales. It’s called The Do-Gooders Directory.

Cintas supports an array of other organizations and initiatives as well. Helping to fuel the fight against cancer is one. In the company’s last fiscal year alone, Cintas employees raised $106,000 for the American Cancer Society, a 28% increase over the prior year.

Other giveback highlights include:

  • Cintas employees helped to raise $111,208 to support families of fallen firefighters through the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb events.
  • The Cintas Partner Assistance Fund awarded more than $233,000 in assistance to employees impacted by natural disasters and personal hardships.
  • Since 1984, Cintas employees have supported American Cancer Society research by raising more than $1,276,000.

Headquartered in Ohio, Cintas is best known for its uniform rental and facility service solutions. The publicly traded firm is also a promotional products distributor, ranking 13th on Counselor’s most recent list of the 40 largest distributorships based on estimated 2023 promo revenue of $218.6 million.
