PCNA Names First-Ever Chief Growth Officer

Doug Mitchell has a leadership background in e-commerce, digital marketing and advertising at companies that include Vistaprint.

Doug Mitchell has been a leader at household-name brands like Vistaprint, Chewy and Wayfair.

Now, he’s coming to the C-suite of the fourth-largest supplier in the North American promotional products industry to drive innovation and sales growth, executives said.

Top 40 supplier PCNA (asi/66887) announced Wednesday, March 27, that Mitchell is now the New Kensington, PA-headquartered firm’s chief growth officer – a new position within the executive leadership team.

PCNA said Mitchell has a history of building and scaling high-performing teams and products throughout his more than 20 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing and advertising.

He was most recently vice president of performance marketing at online pet food/product retailer Chewy. There, he strengthened online acquisition and retention programs, PCNA said. In a general manager role at Wayfair, Mitchell built a cross-functional business unit that created advertising solutions for the e-commerce company’s suppliers and partners.

Other previous roles include being co-founder and CEO of Offer Logic, a marketing technology company that powers personalized offer delivery on major SMB and retail sites like GoDaddy and Staples.

Mitchell has also worked directly in the print/promo space, having served as vice president of partner development at Vistaprint, the e-commerce-driven provider of branded print materials and promotional products that’s part of Top 40 distributor Cimpress (asi/162149). In that position, he was responsible for developing Vistaprint’s partner product and wholesale businesses with major retailers, including Staples, FedEx Office, OfficeMax and Intuit.

At PCNA, a key area of focus for Mitchell will be Givee Select, an online store solution that aims to streamline personalized gifting by offering what executives described as a seamless gifting process for a range of occasions, including conferences and corporate events. Distributors can curate collections of gifts through the platform. Launched in January, Givee Select is nearing 1,000 store setups, according to PCNA.
