Marco Indrio Named Alpi President, Marking New Era for the Family Business

Indrio’s father, Alpi founder Francesco Indrio, will stay on as CEO.

Key Takeaways

• Marco Indrio, who grew up working in his family’s company Alpi (asi/34415), has officially become president after years of contributing in roles ranging from warehouse work to customer service and trade show travel.

• As president, Marco plans to drive expansion into new categories – particularly pet products – while advancing tech initiatives, sourcing new products and maintaining Alpi’s commitment to fun, creativity and customer service.

Marco Indrio began learning about promo from a young age. His father, Francesco Indrio, started Alpi (asi/34415) from his San Francisco garage 43 years ago. An Italian immigrant, Francesco Indrio began sourcing from his home country and eventually turned to China to fulfill larger-quantity orders.

When Marco Indrio was around 10, he started helping with the business, executing tasks like unbagging items in the warehouse and mailing products. He officially joined the supplier firm in 2017 and held various roles across the business, from customer service to shipping.

“At my peak, I was traveling to trade shows and events 20 weeks a year,” Indrio said.

Now, Indrio is entering a new chapter at Alpi as he takes on the role of president of his family’s business. His father and Alpi’s founder, Francesco Indrio, will continue as CEO. Becky Indrio, chief financial officer, will retain her current position.

“It has been an incredible journey over the past nine years,” Marco Indrio said. “Honestly, it started about 20 years ago working in the warehouse, but that’s what makes family businesses so special. As president, I will maintain those values as we grow into 2026 and beyond.”

Over the last several years, Alpi has seen unprecedented levels of growth, Marco Indrio said. Alpi prides itself on selling “fun” products. The supplier doesn’t offer T-shirts or drinkware, but last year it sold over a million rubber ducks. According to Marco Indrio, Alpi also created the first “non-ball-shaped stress ball” in the form of a dolphin.

“After [COVID-19], we had so much demand for our products that we started a night shift,” he added. As the company has expanded, Marco Indrio’s focus has been sourcing new products, driving tech initiatives forward and ensuring products meet various promo standards – all while overseeing the company’s growth.

As he settles into his role as president, Marco Indrio is looking forward to expanding into more product categories. Right now, he has his eye on pet products.

“We’re ready to hit the ground running, and we’re hungry for it,” he said. “We’re adding more to our inventory and expanding, but we’re making sure to keep it fun. I look forward to continuing the charge forward with more product lines, expanded tech offerings and our steadfast commitment to customer service.”
