Towel Specialties Names Kaytlinn Black Marketing Director
Black will succeed Murray Siegel, who is retiring after 27 years with the Baltimore supplier, which also promoted two other employees, Angie Gaskins and Sarah Harris, to leadership roles.
Key Takeaways
• Smooth Transition: Murray Siegel is retiring from Towel Specialties (asi/91605); Kaytlinn Black succeeds him as marketing director.
• More Promotions: Longtime employees Angie Gaskins and Sarah Harris are on the rise too, becoming customer service manager and national account manager, respectively.
• Milestone: Towel Specialties is celebrating its 40th year in business.
For more than a quarter of a century, Murray Siegel has led marketing efforts at Towel Specialties (asi/91605). Now, he’s calling time on his career at the Baltimore-based supplier, but he and other company executives believe they’ve found the perfect new marketing leader for the firm: Kaytlinn Black.
While Siegel has announced his retirement, he’ll remain with Towel Specialties until the end of February, continuing to work with Black, who is already familiar with the firm having most recently been the supplier’s assistant marketing director. Black begins officially as marketing director on March 1.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with Kaytlinn in the months ahead,” Siegel said. “She has the experience, knowledge and vision needed to continue leading our marketing efforts to great success. I’m confident Towel Specialties is in excellent hands as I transition into retirement.”
Before joining Towel Specialties, Black spent eight years building strategies, managing campaigns, analyzing trends and overseeing project management for Dunbrooke Apparel (asi/50930), according to Towel Specialties.
In addition to Black’s upward move, Towel Specialties announced two other promotions. Angie Gaskins, who has worked for the supplier for 26 years, is rising to customer service manager. Sarah Harris, who has been with Towel Specialties for 10 years, will take on the role of national account manager.
The promotions come shortly after Towel Specialties hired promo products industry veteran Laura Guerrero as vice president of sales in November. The personnel moves put Towel Specialties in a great position to have an excellent year – which happens to be the firm’s 40th in business, said Shawn Kanak, president of Towel Specialties.
“We’re excited about these new leadership appointments,” Kanak said. “We’re entering our 40th anniversary year with an incredibly strong, dynamic team. The future is bright, and we look forward to achieving new heights in 2025 and beyond.”
Towel Specialties’ product line includes towels, totes, robes and bags.
