Terry Town Debuts Bag Line With Sustainability Focus
The supplier known for its blankets and towels is branching out into bags, launching a house line made from recycled materials and introducing European brand Swissdigital Design to customers.

The San Diego-headquartered supplier is coming to market with an all-new collection of tote bags, backpacks, sports bags, weekender bags and duffel bags – all of them made from recycled materials, executives said. The line's called Terry Town Bags. Meanwhile, Terry Town is also now offering bags from Swissdigital Design, a Switzerland-based smart bag brand.

“Sustainability was the main driving factor for launching the line,” said Sy Ereren, owner and president of Terry Town. “We wanted to make an even bigger, greener impact in our industry as we already have been with our collection of recycled beach towels and blankets. It was a natural progression for us to dip our feet into.”
Terry Town executives said sustainability is a theme that pervades the collection. In addition to being made from recycled materials, Terry Town has partnered with Dutch technology company Aware. The firm’s software allows for a transparent look into the supply chains utilized to create products.
“With the Aware software, our customers and end-buyers can fully see the scope of where their products are sourced,” said Aaron Bradley, vice president of sales and director of compliance. “The mission of Aware is aligned with Terry Town’s continued vision for developing ethically sourced products.”
Terry Town is also introducing Swissdigital Design backpacks and duffel bags, both of which are made from 100% recycled materials. The bags are sturdy and come with tech-enabled features like on-the-go charging capabilities and GPS tracker connectivity with Apple and Android phones.
“We wanted to introduce a whole new line of bags that are sustainable, thoughtfully sourced and tastefully designed,” said Esmeralda Anaya, director of marketing.
