Derrick Nelloms Named Vice President of PRINTING United Expo

The premier trade show for the printing and graphic arts industry in North America just tapped a seasoned operations executive with more than 30 years of experience in the events space to serve as vice president of the marquee event.

PRINTING United Alliance, a member-based printing and graphic arts association that serves the $100 billion print and decorator market, said Derrick Nelloms has been appointed to the important leadership position for its flagship annual event – PRINTING United Expo.

As vice president, Nelloms will oversee – and help to drive – the growth and success of the Expo, which each year welcomes tens of thousands of attendees in industries that include printing, packaging, textile and apparel, graphic arts and promo products from all over the world. “Joining the Alliance team is an honor, and I am excited for the opportunity to build upon the incredible legacy of PRINTING United Expo,” said Nelloms.

Before joining the Alliance, Nelloms spent 18 years as operations managing director at Emerald Expositions where he oversaw the strategy, planning and execution of top events, including GlobalShop, Impressions Expo and Hospitality Design. Nelloms also had a foundational role at the Georgia World Congress Center in event operations, where he worked with major event and trade show organizers.

This spring, the Alliance and the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI), parent company of ASI Media, formed a new partnership centered on bringing to market solutions that help businesses in the interconnected print, decorating and promotional products sectors to better prosper.

The Alliance and ASI, the largest technology, marketing, events and information provider in the $26.1 billion promo products industry, then went on to launch a dual membership offering. In October, the partners announced that there will be an exclusive ASI Show Pavilion at the PRINTING United Expo, to be held from Sept. 23 to 25, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
