3M/Promotional Markets (asi/91240) is going back across the pond.

The Counselor Top 40 supplier announced that it will again be selling its Post-it Custom Printed Products in the United Kingdom and European Union.

UK & EU flags

The reintroduction of the product line comes after a decade-long absence from Europe. 3M/Promotional Markets is making the cross-Atlantic selling possible through a partnership with CCA Occasions Ltd., a Leyland, England-headquartered company that’s one of the largest producers of personalized printed products in the United Kingdom.

“We are excited to team up with CCA Occasions to bring Post-it Custom Printed Products back to the U.K. and EU markets,” said Greg Landsteiner, general manager of 3M/Promotional Markets. “This reintroduction has been a few years in the making, and we feel CCA is the perfect partner to make this a successful venture.”

The partners noted that Post-it Custom Printed Products will be sold through distributors and print-on-demand providers in the U.K. and EU. They invited distributors and printers to visit the “3M Promotional Markets Powered by CCA Occasions” booth at promotional trade shows across Europe, kicking off in January at the PSI show in Düsseldorf, Germany.

“Representatives from both CCA and 3M will come together to showcase the versatility of the iconic Post-it note, along with our custom-printed Post-it, Scotch and Command branded products,” the companies said in a statement.

A 120-year-old company, executives said that CCA Occasions operates from a 70,000-square-foot facility with a broad range of capabilities, including digital print, promotional gifts, wide-format printing, gifting and loyalty card fulfilment.

The U.K. firm is a subsidiary of Taylor Corporation, a privately owned Minnesota-based corporation whose company portfolio includes, among many other businesses, Counselor Top 40 supplier ADG Promo Products (asi/97270) and Counselor Top 40 distributor Taylor Promotional Products (asi/333647).

CCA’s expertise in high-quality paper goods and its connection with 3M Promotional Markets’ contract printer Precision Press Inc. will be leveraged to offer clients premium customized 3M products, executives said.

“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with 3M and Precision Press on this project,” said Gary Taylor, general manager of CCA Occasions. “This partnership allows us to bring something truly special to the European stationery market, combining innovation and quality to meet the needs of businesses across the region.”

Based on reported 2023 North American promotional products revenue of $108.8 million, 3M/Promotional Markets ranked 17th on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry. The company is part of Minnesota-headquartered 3M, a publicly traded multinational conglomerate with a diversified business that operates in fields that include consumer goods, healthcare and worker safety.

ASI Research’s annual study of the European promotional products market shows that distributors’ promo sales in the United Kingdom, European Union and geographically European nations of Iceland, Norway and Switzerland totaled nearly $14.1 billion in 2023. North America-based promo distributors have been making greater inroads into the European market, in part through strategic acquisitions.
