Spector also spearheaded the expansion of the company’s product line, which included curating collections of products such as pens, journals and desk items into gift sets, and fresh designs. He also helped launch the company’s signature Brand Patch and Brand Shield imprint methods and established one of the industry’s first in-house sales teams.

“To be recognized by my peers with an induction into the PPPC Hall of Fame is truly amazing,” said Rob Spector, who became chairman of the company late last year. “Over the past three decades, I’ve had the privilege of helping shape an industry that continues to grow, innovate and inspire. This honour is not only a milestone in my career, but also a reflection of the many colleagues, partners and friends who have shared this journey with me. I’m deeply proud of what we’ve accomplished together and grateful to be part of this industry’s legacy.”

From 2012 to 2013, Spector was chairman of PPPC and has continued to support the association’s programming, including sponsoring and speaking at events, as well as remaining an advocate of supplier-distributor relations and leveraging technology to better serve clients. He will be the Hall of Fame’s 39th inductee.

“Rob’s unwavering commitment to collaboration, education and community service embodies the very spirit of this honour,” said Paul Wieleba, chair of the PPPC National Board and owner of {WE} Promotional Advertising. “On behalf of the PPPC National Board, it is my privilege to congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition and to thank him for his valuable contributions to our industry.”

The PPPC Awards ceremony, open to PPPC members only, will take place at the Royal Woodbine Golf Club in Toronto on Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. ET, following the first day of exhibits at NATCON.
