There’s a new top executive at headwear brand Imperial (asi/75945).

The Bourbon, MO-headquartered company, whose owned brands include Imperial, Pukka and Peter Millar Licensing Company, announced that it has named Jeremy Davis chief executive officer. Imperial sells its caps in channels that include golf, promotional products and team dealers. Counselor Top 40 supplier Sportsman Cap & Bag (asi/88877) carries Imperial products in promo.

The opportunities for expansion – both domestically and internationally – are vast. I’m eager to work with a passionate team dedicated to success.”

According to Imperial, Davis has more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing, and brings expertise in global operations, strategic acquisitions and market expansion. He’s held leadership roles, including CEO and president positions, in industries that include aerospace, medical devices, specialty chemicals and electrical components. Davis was most recently chief commercial officer at Standard BioTools, a life science tools company.

Last year, Imperial acquired Pukka, an Ohio-headquartered provider of custom headwear to the golf, action sports and team sporting goods markets. Under Davis, Imperial appears to be eyeing more acquisitions.

“Davis has successfully acquired and integrated more than a dozen companies, making him well-suited to drive expansion,” Imperial stated. “His leadership in acquiring and integrating companies will be instrumental in advancing market position.”

CPC, a Kansas City-based private equity and holding company, has Imperial in its portfolio.
