Jon Norris Promoted to Hit Promo’s C-Suite
The industry veteran is now chief strategy officer at promo’s sixth-largest supplier.
Clearly, Jon Norris hit the ground running.
After just half a year with Top 40 supplier Hit Promotional Products (asi/61125), Norris has earned a promotion to the Florida-headquartered firm’s C-Suite, taking the title of chief strategy officer.
“I’ve admired Jon from afar for years, and when there was an opportunity to have him join the Hit squad we were all over it,” said CJ Schmidt, CEO/president of Hit Promo and a member of Counselor’s Power 50 list of promo’s most influential people. “In a matter of six months, Jon has made an immediate impact, and we expect very big things to come.”
Norris said the team he works with has made it easy to excel.
“In the last six months, I have deservingly called my Hit family the hardest working group of people in this industry,” Norris said in a LinkedIn post announcing his new role. “Couldn’t be happier to continue to work hard with my Hit crew and amazing ownership who continues to invest into what this impressive organization is capable of.”
A promo products veteran, Norris is well-known in the industry as a technology and operations leader, something that’s come about in part through him being a co-founder and current leader of PromoStandards – a nonprofit organization committed to improving supply chain and transactional efficiencies in the promo space through technological collaboration and advancement.

Norris has also been visible on an industry-level through his volunteer work with the technology committee of trade association Promotional Products Association International and with PromoKitchen, an independent group made up of promo professionals that offers education, mentoring and networking.
Before joining Hit, Norris spent nearly 20 years at Top 40 supplier Starline (asi/89320), most recently serving as chief operating officer. He’s a past member of Counselor’s Power 50 list and was Counselor’s 2019 Technology Executive of the Year.
Based on reported 2022 North American promotional product revenue of $610.9 million, Hit ranked sixth on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry.
