In a decade where companies have dealt with multiple setbacks, Lance Stier and David Miller only know one direction: forward. The pair who lead Counselor Top 40 supplier NC Custom have increased sales every year since the company’s first appearance on the Counselor Top 40 in 2018, including an especially strong 2023 with posted sales growth of more than 10% year-over-year.

Equally impressive, the pair, who climb up two spots on this year’s list, have positioned NC Custom as forerunners in the coming era of one-stop shopping as they’ve expanded their promo offerings across food gifts, hard goods and apparel. With their sights on the $90 million sales mark for 2024, Stier and Miller have continued to develop the cookie and bakery product line they acquired in Fresh Beginnings at the end of 2022, as well as adding innovative food gifts like chocolate puzzles and charcuterie boards to their product offerings. They’re also spearheading significant investment into expanded lip balm sales capacity and new direct digital print technology, Miller notes. And with initiatives like their lineup of compostable and post-consumer recycled packaging solutions, NC Custom maintains its focus on sustainability that also includes a 100% solar facility at its Hicksville, NY headquarters.
