For PromoShop, 2025 was a year of “intentional momentum,” says President and Counselor Power 50 member Kate Alavez. The Counselor 2026 Best Place to Work both fully integrated JR Resources, the distributor it acquired in late 2024, and engineered a second recent acquisition, acquiring Memphis-based Ideas Unlimited early this year. The Los Angeles-based distributor also heavily focused on strengthening its partnerships – with university recruiting organizations and community collaborations alike – as well as significantly expanding its e-commerce division and enterprise accounts.

Taken together, these steps pushed PromoShop to a 3.4% sales bump in 2025, and the company is working to continue its momentum in 2026: refining its tech stack and AI usage, deepening existing account relationships and expanding into new data-backed markets. “We’re letting insight lead rather than instinct alone,” says Alavez.
