Q&A
Q: What makes Edmond a great place to live and work?
A: Edmond is a suburb nestled on the north side of Oklahoma City. It’s far enough north to avoid the most severe weather, yet still close enough to get anywhere in the city within 20-30 minutes. It’s light on traffic during peak times and home to lots of youth-oriented activities. Boasting one of the best school districts in the state, Edmond frequently sends teams to state championships in a wide variety of sports.
Q: How’s the talent pool?
A: Edmond produces many National Merit Scholars and national athletic awards. These academic and athletic superstars often attend OU, OSU or UCO, graduating to come back and work in biotech, pharma, education and energy. We have some of the smartest engineers in the region and some of the best teachers, too.
Q: How’s the weather?
A: We get all four seasons.
Q: On a scale of 1-5 (1 being bad), how would you rate the airport?
A: 5 – Will Rogers International Airport in Oklahoma City is centrally located and well-maintained with plenty of close parking and great access to all event centers.
Q: Best season to visit?
A: Arcadia Lake keeps you cool in the summer with cookouts and water sports.
