ASI Magazines Win Four More Folio Awards
Publications lauded for editorial and design excellence with one silver and three bronze
TREVOSE, PA – November 16, 2012 – The Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI) today announced three of its publications won four 2012 Eddie Awards for outstanding editorial and design excellence from Folio: magazine.
Folio’s awards have long been viewed as the most inclusive and sought-after recognition in the industry, drawing the widest variety of publication types, from B-to-B to consumer to association and custom. ASI magazines competed against more than 2,000 entries and among the best publications in the industry, including Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar, Travel + Leisure and Popular Science.
Folio: presented one silver and three bronze awards to ASI’s winning magazines during a recent awards luncheon in New York City.

ASI’s winning entries are:
- Silver award for Counselor®, best single article for “Best Places to Work Road Tour,” September 2011
- Bronze award for Counselor, best series of articles for “State of the Industry 2011”
- Bronze award for Advantages®, best single article for “Build a Better Business Card,” February 2012
- Bronze award for Stitches, best single issue, September 2011
For the “Best Places to Work” article, three Counselor editors explored the culture of success during a week-long, 3,000-mile, 14-company journey. Counselor’s annual “State of the Industry” issue is a mix of statistics and information designed to help readers do their jobs better, in part by creating complete business plans. Andy Cohen is editor of Counselor.
The Advantages article centered on an insightful report generated by a contest the magazine held for winning business cards, as voted on by sales reps and business consultants. Kathy Huston is editor of Advantages.
Stitches’ winning issue centered on fashion, offering readers an exclusive, comprehensive look at up-to-the-minute fashion and embroidery trends, along with a stunning on-location shoot featuring the work of top textile artists, designers and decorators. Nicole Rollender is editor of Stitches.
ASI publishes eight catalogs and five magazines in addition to the Successful Promotions™ Trend Report e-newsletter.
