ASI Named "Best Place to Work"

More Than 100 Companies in Competition

TREVOSE, PAMarch 22, 2010 – The Advertising Specialty Institute today announced it has been honored with a “Best Places to Work” award.

Greater Philadelphia Media sponsored the contest to recognize top regional employers, based on nominations by their employees. ASI won the “Best Places to Work” award among companies with more than 200 employees.

ASI was presented with its award at a luncheon hosted by Greater Philadelphia Media on March 18 at the Pen Ryn Mansion in Bensalem. Greater Philadelphia Media publishes the Intelligencer, the Bucks County Courier Times and the Burlington County Times newspapers.

More than 100 local companies were nominated and over 2,000 votes were cast by employees.

“We’re particularly proud that our employees voted us a top place to work,” said Carol Albright, senior vice president of human resources for ASI. “We’re always looking for innovative ways to inspire our employees and to help them grow personally and professionally. Right now we’re recruiting for sales representatives, traffic coordinators and finance positions.”

In 2009, ASI’s human resources department was named “HR Department of the Year” among Delaware Valley companies. In 2008, ASI was also honored for “Best Employee Wellness Program.”

ASI’s wellness program encourages employees to take their physical, emotional and financial health to heart. Employees earn rewards for gym memberships, attending better-health seminars and joining weight-management programs and smoking-cessation sessions.

In addition, the company offers an array of educational programs, including an innovative mentor program that provides employees with the opportunity to learn through one-on-one guidance and coaching from a manager or supervisor. ASI also hosts monthly, in-house training classes about the advertising specialty industry, the company and its products.

ASI’s engaging work atmosphere is supported through fun activities, such as ice cream socials, Halloween parties and an annual holiday mixer, and it recognizes outstanding professional achievements through quarterly president’s awards and an annual employee awards ceremony.
