Two New Products from ASI Coming in December
July 20, 2004, Trevose, PA – The Advertising Specialty Institute, the largest member organization in the promotional products industry, today announced the creation of a new 2005 sales catalog called Debut, and a special 13th edition of Advantage magazine. Both will be published in December 2004 and will be dedicated to the promotion of new products.
The new catalog, Debut, will feature only items that are new, unique or trendy, and fit the following guidelines:
- New products featured in the Advantage Special Edition
- New fabrics and/or imprint technology
- The year's hottest colors (citrus, sage, khaki, pumpkin, fuchsia)
- Items with programmable (LCD, SMS) messaging
- The latest gadgets, electronics and related accessories
- Retro and/or nostalgic products
- Innovative uses of time-tested products
At the same time, the 13th edition of Advantages will feature new products under these categories:
- On the Road
- Eat, Drink & Be Merry
- Office Hours
- The Great Outdoors
- Meetings, Trade Shows & Events
- Sports Specialties
- The Electronic Edge
- No Place Like Home
- Recognitions & Rewards
- Distributor Picks
"This one-two punch was designed to make the most of the new product sales cycle," says ASI Publisher Rich Fairfield. "Suppliers can showcase their hottest, new items in one or both publications. While distributors pass the word to end-buyers through Debut, they can also learn for themselves which trends to follow by picking up the special 13th edition of Advantage, featuring innovative products and sales tips.
"New products are the most sought after and the hardest to find," Fairfield continues. "Rather than waiting for word-of-mouth to spread the news about a new product, suppliers with limited new product announcement budgets can rely on Debut to make the biggest splash and reach the most end-buyers."
Likewise, the new 13th edition of Advantage, the only selling ideas and product tabloid written specifically for promotional products distributors, will be packed with new product showcases, selling techniques, and strategies. Current subscribers will receive the 13th issue at no additional charge.
Suppliers who showcase their products in individual issues of Debut or Advantage 13th edition, or combinations of the two, will receive special discount offers.
