ASI® Selected a “Best Place to Work” by the Philadelphia Business Journal
TREVOSE, PA - October 12, 2005 - Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI), the largest media organization serving the promotional products industry, announced today that it was selected a “Best Place to Work” by the Philadelphia Business Journal. The “Best Place to Work” designation is awarded each year to companies that foster an engaged workforce, by providing exceptional employment benefits and programs that demonstrate how much they value the contributions of their employees.
To be considered, ASI completed an application process, became nominated and was required to achieve at least a 50% participation rate from all employees when responding to a confidential third-party survey about their experiences working at ASI.
“Our employees are engaged and are constantly developing and implementing ideas that have directly contributed to the success and overall growth of ASI,” said Timothy M. Andrews, president of ASI. “We strive to provide opportunities for them to continue developing both professionally and personally, while offering a family-friendly and flexible work environment.”
Carol Albright, vice president for human resources at ASI, attended a “Best Place to Work” recognition event in Philadelphia, PA, and commented “We have worked hard to manage our benefits programs for our workers. For example, in a time when healthcare costs are rising, we have actually increased the quality of our healthcare benefits and also now offer more unique benefits that employees have told us they appreciate, such as eight weeks of paid daycare for all new parents.”
Employment benefits available to ASI workers include: onsite daycare facility, onsite cafe, recognition programs for special achievements, onsite dry cleaner, discounted auto insurance, 401(k) plan, profit-sharing program, tuition reimbursement, annual family picnic, employee assistance program, paid time off, and medical, dental, life and disability insurances.
ASI was also recognized as a “Best Employer for Working Parents” by the Delaware Valley Council for Early Care and Learning in 2003, which recognizes companies whose policies are supportive of employees with families.
