ASI Launches Dynamic New SGR Online Digital Platform For Promo Suppliers

Real-time supplier news now available from around the globe

TREVOSE, PA – April 24, 2018 – (ASI) today announced the launch of a dynamic new SGR™ Online platform, providing real-time news and information from around the globe for suppliers and importers along with the latest advertising opportunities.

The digital-only platform is a natural progression from ASI’s award-winning Supplier Global Resource™ print magazine, offering continuously updated content along with breaking industry news. The platform is dedicated to North American suppliers only, providing trending features and hot-button issues on key topics like emerging markets, manufacturing, sourcing, importing, product safety, product design, patents and overseas markets in Europe, China, India and beyond.

“In today’s climate, with news on tariffs and trade wars continually hitting the front pages, we’re covering all the issues that affect today’s industry suppliers, like mergers and acquisitions and new market competition, along with daily challenges suppliers face from their distributor clients, such as the rise of rebates and buying groups,” said SGR Online Editor Michele Bell (@ASI_MBell), who authors a weekly editor’s letter.

The platform offers in-depth analysis on hot topics like California’s Prop 65, the burgeoning marijuana industry and the future of cotton. Plus, SGR offers conversations with the most interesting people in promo each week, including Sai Koppaka, president and CEO of BEL USA (asi/39552); Nicole McNamee, national sales manager of Counselor Top 40 distributor Boundless (asi/143717); and Kim Bakalyar, chief compliance officer/director of vendor relations for Top 40 distributor, PromoShop (asi/300446).

SGR Online also offers an array of new advertising opportunities for suppliers.

“We’re constantly trying to help suppliers grow their business by taking full advantage of innovative ways to market their brand, products and company through leading-edge platforms like SGR,” said Gene Rahill, ASI’s senior vice president of supplier sales and marketing.
