Episode 86: Going Viral on TikTok: A Supplier’s Story
A sales specialist at Pop! Promos gets more than she bargained for after posting a short video detailing a day at the office.
The term “going viral” has been around almost as long as social media, and it means a piece of content that spreads quickly and widely on the internet. But unless you’re a celebrity or some type of influencer, the path to social media virality is often fraught with dead ends and disappointment.
Savvy creators know the best way to approach content is to temper expectations. And that’s exactly what Logan Oh of Pop! Promos (asi/45657) did when she posted a video on her personal TikTok page detailing a day at the office and hoping to drive interest in open positions.

“I figured it would get a few thousand views, but nothing close to what it got,” said Oh, a sales support specialist who conceived and created the video. Within hours of posting, the TikTok video had been viewed more than 30,000 times and, to date, has over 93,000 views. More importantly, the video helped Pop! Promos receive a flood of resumes from candidates, including some from as far away as Arizona.
In this episode of the Social Angle, ASI Media’s Vinnie Driscoll talked with Oh, as well as CEO and co-founder Erin Reilly, about the impact the video has had on the business, the effort involved in creating it, and why they think it went viral.
What’s the secret sauce to going viral? You’ll have to listen now to find out!
