Becoming a thought leader and authority on social media is critical for entrepreneurs, business owners and sales reps.
That’s the message from Dawn Raquel Jensen, an education speaker at the upcoming ASI Shows in Orlando, Fort Worth and Chicago. A business marketing trainer, Jensen has spoken nationally and internationally on social media, digital marketing, technology training and business strategy.
“When you were small, you followed the leader,” says the founder of Virtual Options, a consultancy that focuses on advising entrepreneurs in building influence and impact in their communities. “You have to be able to separate what you do from other people who do what you do. You have to either step up or step out, and social media is a great way to do that.”

Jensen is also a marketing trainer and mentor for the University of Central Florida’s Business Incubation Program and she served for eight years in the U.S. Navy Reserve as a journalist, covering the military, as well as national and international events in the U.S and Europe.

“Being able to provide the education and information for the people that you serve is going to be important,” she says. “Empower them to be more knowledgeable about your products and services, and also to see you as a leader and trusted adviser.”
