Top 40 distributor Geiger (asi/202900) accelerated its expansion into Europe on Tuesday, announcing that its United Kingdom subsidiary, GeigerBTC, has acquired London-based Shout Promotional Merchandise. Financial terms of the deal were not released.

In business since 2003, Shout Promotional Merchandise has a reputation for creativity and innovation, Geiger executives said. Carrie Benn, co-director of Shout, said the team is thrilled to be joining Geiger. “It’s such an exciting opportunity for us to be part of a global company,” Benn said. “After 16 years of leading Shout, we’re very much looking forward to a new challenge,” added Francina Stobart, co-director of Shout.

GeigerBTC said the acquisition advances its strategy to best support the needs of customers in Europe, North America and around the world. “Fran and Carrie are two exceptional business owners,” said Frank Murphy, managing director of GeigerBTC. “They’ve built an amazing company. We couldn’t be prouder to welcome them into the Geiger family.”

The deal marks a third 2019 U.K. acquisition for GeigerBTC. In May, the distributorship announced that it had acquired York, England-based Response Marketing. In January, the distributorship revealed that it had acquired London-based EMC Advertising Gifts.

With reported 2018 North American promotional product revenue of $210.6 million, Geiger ranked 10th on Counselor’s latest list of the largest distributors in the industry.
