Fisher Space Pen Co. (asi/54423) has released a new Patriotic Pocket Tec Space Pen, a two-piece writing instrument made of anodized aluminum, laser engraved with the stars and stripes. The new model will only be available until July 31.

Polyconcept North America (PCNA, asi/78897) has announced the launch of four CamelBak Tritan Renew water bottles made from 50% recycled material, supporting the company’s focus on bringing more sustainable styles to the promotional products market.

Sportsman Cap & Bag (asi/88877) has announced that two top-selling trucker styles – a fitted all-mesh Flexfit FF360 and the all-mesh snapback YP Classics 6360 – are now on sale.

Gildan (asi/56842) and World Vision Honduras have signed onto another two-year partnership, in which Gildan has committed $175,000 toward a Children’s Education and Transformation program, bringing Gildan’s investment to over $600,000 since the partnership began nearly a decade ago.

Applique Getaway, a trade show for decorators, will be held July 23 to 25 in Irving, TX, northwest of Dallas. The event is meant for decorators who work with embroidery, rhinestones, vinyl, dye sublimation or appliqué at any skill level, according to organizers. Vistaprint, a global e-commerce seller of promotional products and printed marketing materials owned by Cimpress (asi/162149), has partnered with the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC) to donate 240,000 reusable face masks and filters to more than 125 free and charitable clinics in 39 states throughout the U.S.

Chocolate Inn/Lanco (asi/44900) is expanding the number of products it offers through its 24-hour turnaround service. Executives said hundreds of additional products are available through the fast-turn service at no extra charge. These items include everything from bags, drinkware and writing instruments to golf products, technology items, edibles and more. “We’re able to do this because we’re very well-positioned with inventory and our manufacturing capabilities,” said company President David Miller.

Zing Manufacturing (asi/99025) announced the hiring of MacMarketing as its first multiline representatives for S’well products. Zing is the exclusive supplier for S’well in the promotional products industry. MacMarketing covers nine states, including MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, TN and MS. “We’re thrilled to bring them on board to represent both Zing and S’well to their territory,” said Rich Corvalan, senior vice president of sales for Zing.

ACS Affiliate Services has hired Nick Augustine as business development sales manager, a role in which he’ll focus on expanding ACS’s business in the promo industry. Augustine brings 13 years of industry experience working with distributors, and was most recently a national sales manager with a Top 40 supplier. From technology solutions and back office support, to order financing, creative services and more, ACS provides a suite of solutions for promo firms.

PromoKitchen, an independent volunteer group in the promo industry, held a virtual speaker event on May 13 featuring Dan Nevins. A decorated U.S. Army veteran who lost both his legs during combat in Iraq in 2004, Nevins spoke about awareness of veteran suicide. The event welcomed more than 120 attendees and raised $650 for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Talbot Marketing (asi/341500) has received Gold status designation as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 2020. The London, ON-based distributor was named a Best Managed Company each year from 2015 through 2018, and has now received the Gold status designation for two consecutive years. The annual awards are given to private Canadian companies based on strategy, capability and commitment to sustainable growth. “This recognition is especially gratifying after all the changes and extra efforts made throughout the entire organization to help offset the effects of the pandemic,” said President and CEO Steve Levschuk, in a statement.
