Blue Generation (asi/40653) has announced Blue Direct, a direct import sourcing program that aims to eliminate the challenges of import aggravation by handling every aspect of production logistics. One advantage of the program is it enables customers to fill any size/color from the supplier’s running style in-stock domestic inventory without dealing with large reorder minimums. Storm Creek (asi/89879) raised a record $40,434 for charity partners during its Annual Warehouse Sale event. The majority of the funds were raised through Storm Creek’s Shop for a Cause Program, which gives shoppers an opportunity to shop, save and give. During the two weekends of the warehouse sale, shoppers can select a charity partner they would like to support and present a coupon (available online or from each charity) at checkout. Shoppers get $10 off their order and Storm Creek donates 10% to the selected partner.

PROmotion Marketing of Florida, LLC (asi/300650) has been acquired by Sandy and George Chambers from former owner Rick Broom. Financial terms of the deal were not released. Sandy Chambers, who is majority owner, previously served as director of sales at the Palm Harbor, FL-based firm, which she said was founded last year. Sandy told Counselor that PROmotion is growing rapidly, with plans to hire two more associates in the works. Delivering the best ROI for clients, fostering diversity and working with suppliers that value sustainability and ethical treatment of workers are top priorities, she said.
