As Rich Witaszak, to whom McKeough reported, was ousted from the company earlier this year and Matthew Eckhouse was installed as the top exec, it’s McKeough’s longevity in the market, and expertise with sales, business development and recruiting top talent that provides a sense of stability in the industry and with Staples’ clients.
